Her tips, many of which are also environmentally friendly and energy saving, include washing clothes at a lower temperature, reports Sky News. Ms Haggerty also encourages natural drying as opposed to tumble drying and also advises that "children's clothes are washed when dirty and not just routinely". She also added that the tips can be used by everyone. "It doesn't matter if you are single parent on benefits or a household with both parents working, we are all in the same boat," she said. According to the Suburban Journal, even those that do use a tumble dryer can be a bit green by ensuring that the lint filter is properly cleaned prior to every load. ![]() |
